Ye Olde Starre Inne York
Ye Olde Starre Inne is one of the most historic of the cities Pubs. It is a grade II listed building and is said to date back to 1644. It was even used during the English Civil War, with the 10th century cellar used as to tend to wounded soldiers.
Sign over Stonegate
A large sign spanning the ancient historic street of Stonegate points you down a small snickleway where you a greeted with one of the three beer gardens this historic pub has to offer. It has fabulous view of the top of York Minster especially when it is lit up at night and pleasant surroundings especially in the summer when the hanging baskets are awash with coloured flowers.
The Ye Olde Starre Inne has a number of different rooms to choose from including open fireplaces as well as the main rectangular bar room where you will find a vast array of fine real guest ales and fine wines as well as an extensive menu to choose from.
Acoustic Night
One very popular night is the acoustic night on a Thursday, when it is open mic night.
The Olde Starre Inne is also said to be haunted by a cat that is said to have been bricked into the walls.
