Walk round the York City Walls.
Much of the City is sourounded by 12th/14th century walls of which you can
walk aroud today free of charge. You can see the old gatehouses (bars) such
as Micklegate Bar which was used to display the heads of traitors to deter others to follow suit. One of the Bars is home to a small
museum dedicated to Richard III.
